Animal Vessel
The people from the neolithic stone age traded many objects mostly to survive. Objects such as stones, shelter, weapons, food, pottery, fur coats, animal skin, fishing tools, and spears would be traded. There were 94 pieces of pottery found in the Dawenkou tomb. Pottery found in Dawenkou tombs varied in shape and size. A ceramic vessel in the shape of a pig like creature was found in the Dawenkou tombs. The height was Cm. The length is Cm. It has an opening at the mouth and at the back. This ancient piece of pottery was found in Beijing in 1988. It Probably represented a pig, which was very important to the Neolithic economy. The Dawenkou people prepared millet and domesticated pigs and other livestock. Heads and jaws of pigs were frequently buried with the dead to represent wealth.
