Tools In the Mesolithic Stone age People started to farm. They also started to improve tools from the Paleolithic stone age. This is a tool made by carving stone. The dimensions are 58mm by 34mm. The point is used as a piercing point. Both edges can be used as side scrapers. The top part had a hole which can be attached to a stick to be used as a spear. This tool was found in West Sussex. Archaeologists say that this artifact is about eight thousand years old. This means that it is from 6 thousand BCE. Which puts this tool in the Mesolithic stone age.
