Limestone Pillars
11,000 years ago, our ancestors, using only flint tools carved ginormous pillars made out of limestone. Some of the tallest pillars are 20 feet tall and weigh up to 50 tons. Some have carving on them of hands, arms, belts, and animal skins while others have animals that roam that area. The pillars were arranged to form circular patterns. They ranged between 50-100 feet. Archaeologists believe that the pillars were used to establish connection and transition to the spiritual world. These structures originally supported domed roofs.
